Manual intracorporeal end-to-end invagination ileotransverse anastomosis, own experience

Aim : to evaluate the results of original manual intracorporeal end-to-end invagination ileotransverse anastomosis after laparoscopic right hemicolectomy. Patients and methods twenty-two patients with colon cancer were included in study: 17 females 5 males aged 53.1±3.4 years. They underwent hemicolectomy standard D2 lymphadenectomy by technique. Follow-up period surgery was 3 months. Results no conversions open occurred. The operation time 120.0±12.5 minutes, median blood loss 87.0±5.0 ml. Twenty (90.9%) are still under follow-up. hospital stay 11.4±2.6 days. There intraoperative complications. cases anastomotic leakage. No mortality At follow-up, all alive. Two (9.1%) have dropped out control. Conclusion experience first 22 hemicolectomies makes it possible recommend this reliably safe method.
